Day 6 - Back to Buckinghamshire Part 2

Say hello to Sid the Sloth!

It was an odd feeling to be not only nearing the end of my walk but also walking so close to home and seeing sights I recognised.

It was also refreshing to see lots of new sights and to think that there is still so much great outdoors close to home I have yet to explore.

After crossing the M40 the Ridgeway passes the chalk pits at Chinnor before passing through another golf course and crossing the railway line.

The Ridgeway then joins the A4010 for the last bit Into Princes Risborough, which felt like a real return to civilisation as it is such a busy and noisy road.

By now I had met up with a couple of fellow walkers also heading the same way.

We decided to push on past Princes Risborough to try and find somewhere out of the way to camp for the night.

Luckily for us, while we were having a break after another steep climb, a local couple who do a lot of running along the Ridgeway gave us a great tip where to set up for the night.

This was truly one of the best camps of the whole journey.

A little muntjac deer also wandered past our camp in the morning to check us out.
