Day 1

Road trip to the start of the Ridgeway.

It was great having Kelly, the kids and Lukko all there to see me off on the start of my walk

After feeling pretty anxious for the last few days, it was a huge relief to finally be on my way

I couldn't have asked for better weather to start my walk, although the wind was pretty strong and cold on some of the higher, more exposed sections.

Good job I decided to make a small detour to the pub for a pint, as I was lucky enough to bump into a guy who said I could pitch my tent in his field and it is only 5 min from the pub.
